A Night in Elysian

March 1, 2021April 19, 2021 / JC Gonzalez / Leave a comment

Saturday night I took my daughters up to Elysian Fields for a night of stargazing. My wife was working late and it was just the three of us. My oldest had an astronomy project focused on the stars of Orion and my youngest needed some playtime after being cooped up in the house all week. … Continue reading A Night in Elysian

The Many Universities of California

August 26, 2019February 1, 2020 / JC Gonzalez / Leave a comment

While nerve-racking, one of the most exciting times as a parent has been my daughter's junior year of high school. This has been the year to visit local universities to help whittle down her college list. This is also the best way to show her it's not all about the big popular universities with ridiculously … Continue reading The Many Universities of California

It was an 8-bit Sunday morning with the little one. Attending my first physical trade show since COVID began. Gotta say I missed it. #tradeshows #b2bmarketingexpo I am not one for pictures of myself but as I embarked on the journey to build a business of my own late last year, I knew I had to at least update some profile images. I knew I could only trust @jntdrn to do it. I thank her greatly for helping me get over the awkwardness and making it a fun day around Los Angeles. Out and about this past weekend. #explorelosangeles #touryourtown What a beauty. #losangelescars Music Is History by Questlove – Highly entertaining book by Questlove. The book is a year-by-year history lesson that intertwines musical events with world events. It reminded me of things I had forgotten and taught me a few new things as well. #goodread My youngest and I were out exploring yesterday. We stopped at the garden of the Department of Water & Power building in downtown. Sure, it’s a small garden but among the large concrete jungle of our downtown, you learn to enjoy and embrace those little green spaces. #explorelosangeles #laviews Wrote a piece on the Tupac Wake Me When I’m Free experience. Check it out at Los Angeles Noise (link in bio). Check it out and subscribe to the blog. Hope you enjoy it. This was an absolutely beautiful exhibit. It’s everything I hoped for and more. I was 16 when Tupac died and his words mean a lot to me even today. #tupacamarushakur #90shiphop
