The 2017 Los Angeles Taco Festival

September 2, 2017September 21, 2017 / JC Gonzalez / 4 Comments

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the L.A. Taco Festival at Grand Park. The event promised a diverse array of tacos paired with music. Sponsored by the Jovenes organization, it was a great way to spend a Saturday evening while helping students in need. The mini fiesta took over the lowest part of … Continue reading The 2017 Los Angeles Taco Festival

Took a drive with the girls through Whittier Boulevard from beginning to end a few weeks ago. We had donuts at @jaxdonuts_lahara, lunch at @mariscos_el_bigoton, and capped it with churros from @churrosdonabel. Click the link in the bio to read the full piece I wrote on the experience. The Rite Aid on Glendale boulevard just before Glendale meets Alvarado is closing, or may have already closed at this point. I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news. I go back to the Thrifty days and didn’t think it would ever go away. I don’t know for sure but if I had to take a guess, it will be unaffordable, high-end housing in a year or two. It was an 8-bit Sunday morning with the little one. Attending my first physical trade show since COVID began. Gotta say I missed it. #tradeshows #b2bmarketingexpo I am not one for pictures of myself but as I embarked on the journey to build a business of my own late last year, I knew I had to at least update some profile images. I knew I could only trust @jntdrn to do it. I thank her greatly for helping me get over the awkwardness and making it a fun day around Los Angeles. Out and about this past weekend. #explorelosangeles #touryourtown What a beauty. #losangelescars Music Is History by Questlove – Highly entertaining book by Questlove. The book is a year-by-year history lesson that intertwines musical events with world events. It reminded me of things I had forgotten and taught me a few new things as well. #goodread My youngest and I were out exploring yesterday. We stopped at the garden of the Department of Water & Power building in downtown. Sure, it’s a small garden but among the large concrete jungle of our downtown, you learn to enjoy and embrace those little green spaces. #explorelosangeles #laviews
