There were plenty of reasons to get excited about the new season all around the country. For Angelenos, one reason was the opening of the massive SoFi … Continue reading It’s Tough to Choose Football in 2020

Exploring L.A. During Quarantine

August 31, 2020May 12, 2021 / JC Gonzalez / Leave a comment

The quarantine began in March and we're still living in some level of self-isolation. As the August heat wave hit Los Angeles, the fans and portable air conditioner at home were fighting a losing battle. It was time to find ways to leave the house while maintaining health precautions. The best thing to do was … Continue reading Exploring L.A. During Quarantine

January of 2020 now seems a lifetime away thanks to COVID-19. It was on January 26 Los Angeles was struck with the news that Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven other lives were lost in a helicopter crash. As the news spread, Angelenos flooded the L.A. Los Angeles Is Broiling

August 17, 2020August 17, 2020 / JC Gonzalez / 1 Comment

This is not breaking news but it's also impossible to not make it a talking point: The city is scorching hot! The worst part about it, we're all stuck at home. As we kicked off August, temperatures were daily in the high 70's and low 80's. Clouds rolled in for a couple of days and … Continue reading Los Angeles Is Broiling

July ended with some heat in Los Angeles. We were in the 90's each of the final days of the month right through the first weekend of August. Read below for a few other L.A. occurrences as we push through the summer. The Dodgers are Back

July 26, 2020July 27, 2020 / JC Gonzalez / Leave a comment

The 2020 baseball season finally began this weekend and I was glued to my couch like the cardboard cutouts behind home plate at Dodger Stadium. Thanks to ESPN and Fox Sports, three of the four games of the opening series against the Giants were available to stream and it made for a glorious weekend at … Continue reading The Dodgers are Back

It was an 8-bit Sunday morning with the little one. Attending my first physical trade show since COVID began. Gotta say I missed it. #tradeshows #b2bmarketingexpo I am not one for pictures of myself but as I embarked on the journey to build a business of my own late last year, I knew I had to at least update some profile images. I knew I could only trust @jntdrn to do it. I thank her greatly for helping me get over the awkwardness and making it a fun day around Los Angeles. Out and about this past weekend. #explorelosangeles #touryourtown What a beauty. #losangelescars Music Is History by Questlove – Highly entertaining book by Questlove. The book is a year-by-year history lesson that intertwines musical events with world events. It reminded me of things I had forgotten and taught me a few new things as well. #goodread My youngest and I were out exploring yesterday. We stopped at the garden of the Department of Water & Power building in downtown. Sure, it’s a small garden but among the large concrete jungle of our downtown, you learn to enjoy and embrace those little green spaces. #explorelosangeles #laviews Wrote a piece on the Tupac Wake Me When I’m Free experience. Check it out at Los Angeles Noise (link in bio). Check it out and subscribe to the blog. Hope you enjoy it. This was an absolutely beautiful exhibit. It’s everything I hoped for and more. I was 16 when Tupac died and his words mean a lot to me even today. #tupacamarushakur #90shiphop
